Our Services

Director of Nursing Support

The role of Director of Nursing or Person in Charge (PIC) is a diverse, demanding and evolving role. We can provide support, both short term and long term to nursing management teams to ensure they are enabled to deliver on their plans and goals for the people they provide the healthcare/care delivery service to.

At Best Practice Healthcare we do more than advise, we work alongside the clinical management team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care delivery pathway for all residents and service users.

We work onsite with the clinical team to support them with the changes on the ground and with the upskilling needed for quality improvement, including personalised action plans for each service based on their needs.

Our Story…

Best Practice Healthcare was developed from a concept into a business from the founders first hand experience of the demands placed on nursing managers in a busy residential setting.

The founder, Deirdre Kennedy has over 22 years experience working in both nursing and education settings, from ‘hands on’ nursing care to nursing management roles designing and implementing plans to reach healthcare service KPIs and service wide quality improvements.

Engaging an experienced nurse manager for a period of time to work alongside the clinical team to improve standards and clear governance backlogs can greatly enhance service delivery, service user/resident satisfaction and staff retention.

We have worked with smaller family run nursing homes to large national nursing home groups, with each setting getting the necessary input from the consultant to achieve their goals. Each setting gets our commitment to supporting their success and a personalised consultancy project for each healthcare service.
